MINI Malaysia has just announced enhanced specification for the MINI 3 Door and 5 Door for 2017. Upgrades include exterior styling as well as additional creature comforts.
Starting from the MINI Cooper 3 Door, it now gets a gloss black front grille, tailgate handle as well as LED headlamps and fog lamps. Inside, the entry level MINI now comes standard with dual-zone automatic climate control and a 6.5-inch MINI Visual Boost infotainment system with MINI Connect Ready App.
Stepping up to the Cooper S 3 Door and John Cooper Works 3 Door, both variants now add Comfort Access system (keyless entry and start) to the equipment list. The JCW 3 Door further adds auto dimming rear view mirror and reverse camera.
Like the Cooper 3 Door, the Cooper 5 Door also gets updated with gloss black front grille, tailgate handle, LED headlamps and foglamps and dual-zone automatic climate control. The Cooper S 5 Door on the other hand adds the Comfort Access system.
No changes were made to the powertrain, as such the Cooper variants get a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder with 136 hp and 220 Nm, Cooper S with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder producing 192 hp and 280 Nm while the JCW gets a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 231 hp and 350 Nm.
