Seeing an Aston Martin is always an event, whether or not it’s a conventional hardtop or a convertible. Now, the company is offering the refreshed Vanquish S, which is available in both the said body styles.
Among the new stuff are the revised, carbon fibre front splitter and rear diffuser. The rear end now receives a quad exhaust setup, while sitting on standard 20-inch wheels. Exclusive to the convertible is an electronic folding soft-top.
Both Vanquish S variants retain the signature 6.0-litre V12 engine, producing 592 hp and 630 Nm of torque that’s paired with the “Touchtronic III” eight-speed automatic. The engine breathes better now through a modified air intake and the transmission shifts quicker; both of which contribute to performance gains. This however, is not backed by any official key performance figures, until perhaps later.
UK pricing for the 2017 Aston Martin Vanquish S begins at £199,950 (RM1.1 million) while the Volante costs about £12,000 (RM67k) more than its hardtop equivalent. Let’s not forget that the brand is officially represented in Malaysia by Wearnes, so expect the Vanquish S to arrive soon.
