Haval H1 facelift launched in Malaysia, EEV, priced from RM62k to RM75k!



GO Auto, the official distributor of Great Wall Motors (GWM) cars, has just launched the updated Haval H1. Formerly known as Haval M4, this new H1 is essentially a facelifted model of the M4. This is part of GWM’s efforts to streamline and rebrand the Haval SUV line-up to boost its sales in the international arena.

The Haval is positioned as the brand’s littlest SUV. Dimensions wise, the H1 measures 3,961 mm in overall length, 1,728 mm in width and is 1,617 mm tall. The H1 can be had in three different flavours – Comfort, Premium and Elite, with pricing starting from RM62k.

EXTERIOR

This rebranding exercise brings along a minor refresh to the H1’s aesthetics. For starters, it now gets redesigned halogen headlamps, front and rear fog lamps, horizontal Haval front grille, revised front and rear bumper, roof rails, halogen combination tail lamps and rear spoiler with integrated third brake light.

Top of the line Elite variant adds on Poly-Eclipse projector headlamps and LED daytime running lights. Regardless of trim levels, the H1 rides on 16-inch multispoke alloys wrapped in 205/60 profile Continental CC5 rubbers.

INTERIOR

Here, the equipment list is impressive to say the least. The Elite gets leather upholstery, leather wrapped multifunctional steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment system with reverse camera, navigation, centre armrest, tinted windows, cruise control, Battery Alert Sensor (BAS), Digital Video Recorder (DVR), central locking and rear view mirror with integrated SmartTAG reader.

The Premium variant loses out on the centre armrest, DVR and tinted film while the Comfort variant gets leather seats, rear view mirror with integrated SmartTAG reader and navigation omitted altogether. Boot space is rated at 310 litres.

PERFORMANCE

Powering this B-segment SUV is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder VVT MPI engine that outputs 105 hp and 138 Nm. Drive is sent exclusively to the front wheels via a six-speed automated manual transmission (6AMT). According to the GO Auto, the H1 has a rated fuel economy of 6.0L/100km which allows the car to be awarded with EEV certifications.

SAFETY

Safety features on the H1 is as complete as cars in the segment can get. As standard, all variants are equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, BA, Hill Start Assist and ESC.

WHAT ELSE?

Customers can have their H1 in six different exterior colours – Titanium White, Sky Silver, Pure Black, Ocean Blue, Jazz Red and Fashionable Orange. Every purchase of this SUV comes with a 7-Year unlimited mileage warranty for added peace of mind.
