2017 Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet teased ahead of global debut [+Video]

For the very well-heeled, their Monday blues is the inability to decide between driving a Mercedes-AMG S65 Cabriolet or the Rolls-Royce Dawn to work. The three-starred grand tourer may be a show stopper, but being cocooned by the Flying Lady seems like a more luxurious affair. If only money can buy the best of both worlds.

Well, worry no more. Mercedes-Benz’s ultra-luxury arm Maybach, has teased the Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet that is set to debut at the 2016 Los Angeles Motor Show on 16 November. Based on a short video shared onto Mercedes-Benz’s social media page, the S650 Cabriolet will be limited to 300 units and appears to receive a wide range of upgrades, of which is based on the S-Class Cabriolet, of course.2016 Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Cabriolet Teased

For starters, the signature Maybach badge will be featured around the exterior of the car as well as chrome touches at the front bumper. The interior of the S650 Cabriolet appears to feature Burmester sound system and leather seats of a unique design. Just atop an enclosure built into the centre console are the words Maybach and the build number – further proof that only 300 of this ultra-luxury car will ever be made.

No mention on the powertrain here, but the standard S65 Cabriolet gets a 6.0-litre bi-turbo V12 with 630 hp and 1,000 Nm. Mercedes-Benz revealed that the S650 Cabriolet is capable of returning 12 litres per 100km and emits 272 grams of CO2 per km.2016 Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Cabriolet Teased
