Is the Mercedes GLC 43 SUV a little too ordinary for your liking? Then Stuttgart has another option for you. Enter the new Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe, one to make its debut at the Paris Motor Show soon.
Lets highlight the obvious. The AMG touch gives the GLC Coupe a more athletic stance, thanks to the new set of 19-inch AMG alloy wheels. Wheel sizes can go as big as 21 inches. It comes dressed with AMG bodykit, sporty single-bar front grille, and quad tailpipes.
Just like its Mercedes-AMG stablemates (like the SLC 43, C 43 and E 43), the GLC 43 Coupe is powered by the same twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine that’s capable of generating 362 hp and 520 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through the 4MATIC system via a nine-speed automatic transmission. Key performance figures are as such: 0 to 100km/h dash is achieved in 4.9 seconds, while its combined fuel consumption is rated at 8.4 litres per 100km/h. As with any performance-oriented German-made cars, top speed is electronically limited to 250km/h.
The GLC 43 Coupe is also equipped with AMG Dynamic Select system, allowing drivers to select their preferred driving mode: Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual. The GLC 43 Coupe’s air suspension can increase its ride height while the 4MATIC four-wheel drive system provides added traction when the need arises. The car is rear-biased by default, though.
Deliveries of the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe will commence as early as December 2016. Just recently, Mercedes Malaysia launched the locally assembled GLC 250 4MATIC at RM325k. Read our review to find out what we think of it!
