Sepang International Circuit (SIC) has embarked on a three-year partnership agreement with a French watchmaker, BRM Chronographes. In the contract, BRM Chronographes is now the Official Timewear for SIC, and BRM Chronographes will provide timepieces for SIC.
The timepieces mentioned include an official clock for the circuit, as well as 15 watches as prizes for the champions of the Malaysian Championship Series (MCS) and the Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSBK) for the next three years.
Founded in 2002, the motorsports-inspired French watchmaker made its mark here in Malaysia in 2015, where their first flagship store in Asia opened in Starhill Gallery.
“We are glad to cement this partnership with BRM Chronographes as they are an excellent fit for SIC. They are well-known for their passion for motorsports, and have collaborated with many organisations and teams in the motorsports arena around the world. BRM Chronographes is also known for the quality of their timepieces, and this again gels with us, as precision timekeeping is crucial in a high-octane field like motorsports,” said SIC CEO Dato’ Razlan Razali.
