Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has just added a new flavour to their crossover lineup with the introduction of the Mitsubishi ASX Orange Edition. The special 180-unit run is based on the ASX 4WD variant and is the second special edition after the Designer Edition catwalked into the market two years ago.
It is not a full blown crossover with orange aesthetics. Instead, bits like the side mirrors, rear lip and spoiler receive some tangerine treatment that contrasts its white exterior. Other exterior goodies included are door visors, 17-inch alloy black rims and ‘Spirit of Competition’ body stickers.
Reflecting the colour it represents, the interior receives orange-accented leather seats and orange stitching carpet mat. The audio panel and door trim gets some carbon fibre finishing as well.
There are no mechanical changes for this Mitsubishi ASX Orange Edition, hence the standard 2.0-litre MIVEC engine that churns 147 hp and 197 Nm of torque soldiers on. The ASX is only available the INVECS-III CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) with seven virtual ratios.
The ASX Orange Edition is priced at RM132,900.19 (without insurance, GST inclusive for private registration in Peninsular Malaysia) and comes with 5-Year warranty package.
