TC Euro Cars slashes price for Renault Captur 1.2 Turbo, now at RM117k

One of Renault’s most popular models, the Renault Captur, is now cheaper by RM5,800 at RM117,200 instead of its original asking price of RM123,000. However, the stated price doesn’t come inclusive of insurance.

Just to recap, this B-Segment crossover shares most of its mechanical and internal components with the Renault Clio, making it one of the more agile and dynamic crossovers in its segment. It’s not the most powerful (the award goes to the Mazda CX-3), but for RM117k you get a modern 1.2-litre direct-injection engine, turbocharged to make 118 horsepower and 190 Nm of torque. The numbers are good, but it doesn’t stop there.2015-Renault-Clio-Gt-Line-Test-Drive-45

You get a six-speed dual clutch transmission driving the front wheels, and there’s even an ECO mode which alters acceleration, gearbox behaviour and air conditioning to save fuel. But when you feel like gunning it, the Captur can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 10.9 seconds before maxing out at 192km/h.

If you’re keen to find out more about the Captur, be sure to read our review (you’ll find wonders about Renault’s 5-Year unlimited mileage warranty) or head on over to One Utama Shopping Centre from 9 to 13 March for a test drive session. You can find the Renault Roadshow at Lower Ground, Oval 1, where all other Renault models will also be displayed.
