Mitsubishi Triton Phantom Edition introduced, priced at RM116k [+Video]

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has just unveiled an all-black and limited edition Triton Phantom Edition. Based on the Triton VGT Adventure variant, this 200-unit edition pickup dons additional bodykits and some visual enhancing touches to give it that macho edge.

Improvements are mainly on the aesthetic side for this Thailand assembled pickup. To start off, there’s a matte black grille and front bumper extender at the front, complemented with the sinister word “Phantom” embedded onto the bonnet – something that could make drivers at the front sweating their palms. Over at the back, the Phantom gets a sports bar with full box and matte black rear bumper.triton-phantom (2)

It also receives a set of 17-inch matte black alloy rims, Xenon HID Headlamps with LED daytime running lights and exclusive Phantom black leather seats.

No mechanical changes were made to this Triton, hence it retains the tried and proven 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT), producing 176 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The gearbox too is unchanged – a five-speed automatic gearbox and Easy Select 4WD system as well.triton-phantom (4)

The Mitsubishi Triton Phantom Edition is all yours at RM115,680.76 and comes with a 3-year factory warranty. Putting the icing on the cake is MMM’s 2-year Free Maintenance with RM2,000 cash rebates or free labour with RM4,000 cash rebates.

If you haven’t yet seen the Phantom in the flesh, you’d like how it looks just from the video below where Leona Chin, Malaysia’s darling girl drifter pranks unsuspecting customers by drifting the pickup under the pretext of a test drive.
