Against seemingly stacked odds, the Nissan NP300 Navara emerged on top to win the coveted 2016 International Pick-up award at a ceremony in Lyon, France. The NP300 faced stiff competition against equally popular and capable rivals like the Mitsubishi Triton and Ford Ranger T6.
Each pickup truck was rigorously tested and judged for its off-road capability, on-road performance and their value for money. The tests also include towing abilities to determine just how capable of a workhorse these new pickup trucks are. Following these tests, the Nissan NP300 Navara subsequently picked up the award, thanks to newfound levels of ‘crossover-inspired comfort and refinement‘ while maintaining off-road capabilities. Not bad for a truck with multi-link type rear suspension, huh? 
Its exterior and interior also received praise from the judges who were also impressed with some of the NP300 Navara’s first-in-class features and technologies. To recap, all Malaysia-bound Navaras will be fully imported from Thailand and carries a price tag from RM85k to RM125k. Only one engine will be offered, and that’s the 2.5-litre YD25DDTi oil burner with two states of tunes.

The Nissan NP300 Navara will be officially launched on 26 November 2016. First deliveries will also begin on launch day, and it’s covered with a 3-year or 100,000km warranty programme.
