Suzuki Baleno hatchback unveiled ahead of Frankfurt debut, to feature 1.0L turbo engine [+Video]

The all-new production version of the Suzuki Baleno has finally been unmasked ahead of its world debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. According to the famed compact car manufacturer, the Baleno will raise the bar of compact hatchbacks that incorporates elegant and powerful design, spacious cabin and luggage space.

Suzuki remains tight lipped on the car’s details, but suffice to say that the company’s interpretation of an ideal hatchback will include features like LED daytime running lights, bi-xenon headlights, keyless entry, push-start button and a host of other new technologies. Suzuki-Baleno-1

What we do know so far is that the Baleno will sit on Suzuki’s new generation platform, of which a ‘highly responsive’ 1.0-litre turbocharged direct injected Boosterjet engine will be bolted to. The said engine will be assisted by SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) – essentially an integrated starter motor.

Full details of the Baleno will be made available closer to its Frankfurt debut, one that will take place on 15 September 2015.
