Mercedes-Benz Malaysia offers free rental child seats: 110 units up for grabs!

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, as part of their quest to make road travel safer for children during the Hari Raya celebrations, have launched their free child car seat rental campaign beginning 1 July 2015.

The campaign is an extension of their MobileKids corporate social responsibility and aims to make road traveling a safer place, particularly among children and youths. As such, the company is offering 110 units of child car seats to members of the public for free and is on a first-come-first-serve basis.

The child car seats are fully ECE R44-compliant convertible car seats and are available in two options with ISOFIX-points (birth up to 18kg) and without ISOFIX-points (birth up to 25kg). These seats convert from a rear-facing infant seat to a forward-facing car seat, and protects children from birth up to 25 kg. For a refundable deposit of RM150 (without ISOFIX) and RM300 (with ISOFIX), families will be able to use the car seat for a period of one month. The free child car seat rental campaign is for a duration of six months, from July 2015 to December 2015.

Vice President of MBM, Mark Raine said, “While we encourage motorists to ensure that their vehicles are in good condition before a long drive, we also urge those travelling with young children to take advantage of this added safety feature to safeguard the occupants in the vehicle, especially children.”
