Ford is set to show off the new Mustang and Focus RS at Goodwood

For the last 22 years, the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the West Sussex county of the UK has been hosting car lovers and giving automakers an avenue to showcase some of their most amazing creations, concepts and editions on the ever-infamous Goodwood Hill Climb.

Ford has just recently announced that it will be debuting the all-new Mustang powered by Fords 5.0L V8 mill and an EcoBoost-engined droptop at the Moving Motor Show taking place on the 25 June. In addition to that, the eagerly awaited Ford Focus RS will be making its premier appearance on British soil at the festival with gymkhana legend Ken Block at the helm.

It doesn’t just end there. Because Ford is also bringing out a few editions of its most popular models at Goodwood in commemoration of Ford’s 50th Anniversary of the Ford Transit van. For this occasion, the Blue Oval company has built a one-off Transit Custom SportVan that is fitted with a 2.2-litre diesel engine that makes a 152 hp with 385 Nm of twist whilst managing 5.6 litres per 100km. Part of the ‘moving’ entourage is the frugal yet gutsy Focus ST TDCi estate model.

Not to be forgotten is the Ford Fiesta Red Black Edition. This fiesta’s lil party piece is the one-litre EcoBoost powerplant that they’ve inserted into this tiny hatchback. However, therein lies the pièce de résistance. This A4-paper sized engine kicks out an astonishing 138 hp. That doesn’t sound like much but this engine has a better power-per-litre output as compared to a Bugatti Veyron.
