If you’ve been lusting over Jaguar’s fastest and most powerful production vehicle to date, good news for you, Jaguar Land Rover (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has announced that the F-Type Project 7 is now available here in Malaysia! Only two units (out of 250) have been allocated for the Malaysian market, so you have to be as quick as the limited edition cat to get yours hands on one.

Hand-built by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Operations team, the F-Type Project 7 was created to honour the 60th anniversary of the 1954 D-type racer last year. A fairing behind the driver’s head rest is a nod to the D-Type, with the windscreen that has been trimmed by 114 mm for that sleeker profile.
The Project 7 is also fitted with bespoke carbon fibre aerodynamic add-ons, as well as a set of 20-inch gloss black Storm alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero or the optional Continental ForceContact tyres.
The cabin features a numbered plaque signed by Ian Callum between a pair of diamond quilted leather-wrapped lightweight bucket seats, while the driver gets Alcantara wrapped steering wheel with aluminium shift paddles.
The special two-seater is motivated by a tuned 5.0-litre supercharged V8 from the F-Type R, giving out 567 hp and 680 Nm of torque. The V8 is then mated to an 8-speed automatic to send all the power to the rear wheels.
The Project 7 blitzes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, and it will keep on going to a limited top speed of 300 km/h. Bringing it back to a halt is a set of Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) brakes measuring 398 mm up front and 380 mm at the back.
There’s a new suspension setup, along with other handling enhancements such as the Torque Vectoring by Braking (TVbB) that works together with the Electronic Active Differential (EAD) and the car’s Dynamic Stability Control.
