Following the tragic passing of the late and great Mr Tetsuya Oda, former CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the company went on to appoint then Senior VP, Mr Won-Chul YANG as their new CEO effective 12 February 2015.
YANG is no stranger to the automotive industry, having served over 20 years in Japan and Korea before joining MMM. During his tenure as Senior VP, the head of Strategic Planning and Coordination helped achieve a milestone launch of the locally assembled Mitsubishi ASX – the Japanese brand’s first ever CKD model.
MMM’s Board Chairman, Tan Sri Marzuki bin Mohd Noor said, “We believe that YANG’S strong automotive experience, passion and commitment towards Mitsubishi Motors will continue to drive the Mitsubishi Motors brand and company in Malaysia to the next level, building on the solid foundation and growth achieved.”
As the new CEO, YANG’s first priority is to continue building Mitsubishi Motors’ network and ensuring that the brand will always strive to maintain innovative and competitive products and services in Malaysia.
