Just a week before its official launch next Thursday, we’ve managed to catch a glimpse of the all-new Mazda2, courtesy of reader Eng Yoong. This Mazda2 hatch was seen being transported around Glenmarie earlier this afternoon, presumably to the showroom where it will be launched.
Both the Mazda2 seen here in the picture above is of the hatchback variant, and we now know the road-going price from our previous story – RM85,470 without insurance.
Update: As far as we know, both the Mazda2 sedan and hatchback that we’ll be receiving will be imported from Thailand, and if brochures are to be believed, then we could be looking at two trims being offered here – a Thai spec (with no LED DRLs) and a higher spec with DRLs.
Several key features of the high spec hatchback are projector headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights, 16-inch wheels, head up display (HUD), leather seats, keyless entry with push-start system, 7-inch LCD display with Commander Control – just to name a few.
Like we’ve said before, the Mazda2 will be making its local debut here next Thursday, so stay tuned as we bring you the full coverage (with video of course, no less) of the launch.
