As hinted by their website earlier, UMW Toyota Motor officially reveals the 2015 Toyota Vios with minor updated specifications while keeping the looks same as before.

A total of four variants are offered on the updated 2015 Vios: 1.5J, 1.5E, 1.5G, and topped off with the 1.5 TRD Sportivo. Mechanically they are unchanged, where you can find the same 1.5-litre four-cylinder and four-speed automatic or five speed manual combo under the bonnet.
EXTERIOR
The 2015 Vios still looks identical as the last year’s model, but the chrome doorhandles and rear number plate garnish are now standard across the range. If you look closely you will also notice that there’s a button on the doorhandle for the keyless entry too.
The range-topping TRD Sportivo rocks the full five-piece Aerokit complete with LED Daytime Running Lights and unique five-spoke alloy wheels. However the Aerokit is also offered as a cost option for the rest of the variants.
INTERIOR
All variants get the push start button and the 1.5G variant now gets a black interior as opposed to beige, similar to the 1.5 TRD Sportivo. Both the 1.5E and the 1.5G variants get door sill scuff plates, but front foot illumination is reserved on the 1.5G and the 1.5 TRD Sportivo only. The 1.5 TRD Sportivo also gets Sports seats with extra side support.
The optional DVD-AVX system that supports USB, SD, AUX, Bluetooth, and reverse camera has grown from 5.8-inch to 6.1-inch in size with higher resolution. There’s a more advanced optional DVD-AVN system that comes with a bigger 7-inch capacitive touchscreen with navigation, internet connectivity via smartphone pairing, Bluetooth, Voice Recognition, and reverse camera as well.
PERFORMANCE
The tried and trusted 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine is unchanged. It delivers 107 hp at 6,000 rpm and 141 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm. Transmission choices stays the same with either a four-speed automatic transmission, or a five-speed manual transmission exclusively in the 1.5J variant only.
WHAT ELSE?
The 2015 Vios is covered by a 3-year or 100,000 km warranty. For extra piece of mind, every new Vios will be equipped portable tyre pump as standard. Although the Toyota Premium Security & Solar Film is only fitted as standard on the 1.5 TRD Sportivo and the 1.5G variants, it’s optional for the 1.5E and the 1.5J variants.
They are priced at RM 74,700 (1.5J Manual, previously RM73,200), RM 78,800 (1.5J Automatic), RM 84,300 (1.5E), RM 89,990 (1.5G), RM 94,800 (1.5 TRD Sportivo, previously RM93,200) and they are available in five colours: White, Silver Metallic, Medium Silver Metallic, Attitude Black, and Quartz Brown Metallic.
