Yes, you read the title right. Shell Malaysia, through their “Shell Win Free Fuel” contest, will be giving out over RM2 million worth of free fuel to approximately 10,000 lucky customers from 23 December 2014 – that’s today for those on holiday – till 15 March 2015.
Participation is fairly easy and hassle-free. Simply pump RM30 worth of any Shell petrol, then fill up a contest form and answer a simple question. You will then need to attach your original receipt to the form and drop it in the designated contest box. The contest runs nationwide at all participating Shell stations and will span over a period of 12 weeks.
Three grand prize winners will be randomly drawn on a monthly basis, each walking away with a year’s worth of free fuel amounting to RM10,000. Additionally, there will also be 835 weekly winners, each walking away with RM200 worth of free fuel.
If you’ve visited several Shell stations in the Klang Valley of late, you would have noticed their new Deli2go mobile convenience store. It’s built entirely out of a recycled shipping container and is the go-to store for customers looking for freshly made pastries and coffee or hot dogs, even.
At the launch, Shell Malaysia Trading’s managing director, Tuan Haji Azman Ismail said, “We are committed to innovate and address the challenges of moving goods and people safely with minimal costs and in turn, reduce environmental impact while lessening the burden of the rakyat.”
For the month of December, the price for RON95 is fixed at RM2.26 per litre, RON97 at RM2.46 per litre and diesel at RM2.23 per litre. Fuel prices are also expected to dip next month, so pump away, folks!
