Aston Martin owners to hone their skills… on ice! [+Video]

After a successful inaugural year in 2014, Aston Martin On Ice returns for the second time next February, offering its customers the chance to experience their sports cars on roads far removed than the usual.

The three-day On Ice programme will see drivers manoeuvring around several specially designed tracks covering a total area of 435,600 square foot. The tracks were meticulously constructed over some odd 250 man hours.

Staged in the town of Crested Butte in Colorado, owners will be put through braking and cornering exercise loop, slalom, skid pad as well as a full circuit. None of this will be unsupervised of course, so every driver will be put under expert tuition and strict guidance before they are allowed to drive on the full 1.6km track.

The ice driving event isn’t the only bespoke driving experiences held by Aston Martin in the US, though it is one of their most interesting. After all, you don’t always get to drive any V8s or V12s on ice now, do you?
