The first BMW motorcycle was made in 1932, the BMW R 32. The heart of the R nineT is the same longitudinal twin-cylinder boxer engine from the R 32 ninety years ago. Now, the air or oil-cooled 1,170 cc boxer engine together with a six-speed gearbox in the new R nineT produces 110 horsepower and 119 Nm of torque.

Design and development of the commemorative model is based on “puristic simplicity” and “emotion”. With its classic and minimalist design, the R nineT is set to create an emotional bond between man and machine.

BMW S 1000 R

The legendary BMW S 1000 RR was introduced in year 2009, as the first purpose-built superbike with a powerful four-cylinder in-line engine. Now, the naked version of it has arrived, the new BMW S 1000 R sports roadster, with it’s distinct “tail up, nose down” stance.

Powered by the same 999 cc four-cylinder in-line engine as the RR, the S 1000 R produces 160 horsepower and 112 Nm of torque, 10 Nm more than the RR. It comes with two riding modes, “Rain” and “Road”. When the “Rain” mode is engaged, the ride will be soft and responsive to tackle wet conditions. “Road” mode provides optimal throttle response and controlability. Optional “Dynamic” and “Dynamic Pro” modes are available together with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) for sporty performance on both road and track.
