BMW just released a teaser video recently showing the profile of both 2014 BMW M3 and M4 highlighted by neon lights. Now, images of the two new models have leaked online ahead of their world debut at the Detroit Motor Show in January.
By now you would have known that coupe version of 3-Series is now the BMW 4-Series, which BMW Malaysia launched few months back. So the new M4 will replace the two-door M3, while the M3 itself is a four-door saloon. If you were to compare both M3 and M4 faces, they look quite similar. Just that the M4 would have a nicer backend. Both looking good nonetheless. What’s better is, both are more powerful than the outgoing M3.
These new models will be powered by the 3.0-litre twin-turbo engine, which is smaller but more powerful and fuel efficient than the current M3’s 4.0-litre V8. It generates 424bhp, with 500NM of torque; an increase of 10 extra horses and 100Nm of torque. No official figures on the performance yet for now.
